Tropical Bakery started as a small family kitchen on Monroe Road with one goal: give Brazilians in Charlotte the smell of a real padoca at 6am. More than a decade later, the ovens still start before sunrise and the same family still runs the counter.
Dough made from scratch, salgados shaped by hand, cakes built to order. Brazilian and Portuguese recipes, and a staff happy to explain every item to anyone trying Brazilian food for the first time.
